Brighton Road Trip

I’m about to go on a road trip to the Grampians with my beautiful wife and two children! We are all extremely excited, especially because this trip is so different from our usual holidays. Each year we travel overseas, whether that be for a skiing holiday in Canada, laying on the beach in Vanuatu or eating pasta in Italy. We really have done it all. This year however, we decided to explore our own backyard, and the Grampians came highly recommended.

Seeing as our mode of transportation this year is a car instead of a plane, I have my car booked in with a mobile auto mechanic. Brighton is a big suburb, and so I would prefer the mechanic to come to me. That way I can go about my day-to-day activities without being disrupted. The mechanic is coming today, one week out from our holiday. I don’t expect there to be any issues, which is why I didn’t book in sooner. I’m simply doing my due diligence as a father and ensuring everything is safe for my family.

So the mechanic just visited, and was actually here for longer than I expected. Turns out I’m lucky that the mechanic visits the Brighton area. Tyre service is more difficult than I thought, especially seeing as I didn’t think my car would need one. I’m lucky that I was responsible and got my car serviced before going on the road trip. I would hate for something to go wrong whilst we were driving. Waiting by the side of the road for a mechanic to come and fix our car would really put a damper on the start of the trip.

When my wife and I decided to have children, we agreed that they would have nothing but the best. That includes expensive holidays and cars that always work. We will be spoiling them for their entire lives. They are lucky to have us as parents, and we are lucky to have them.
